My interest in music arranging arose from the desire to add favorites to my collection that weren’t yet available or the existing arrangements were unnecessarily difficult and had other problems as well. About the same time we had clients that were asking for a favorite pieces that weren’t attainable for string duo, trio or quartet.
Extensive theory studies helped me to feel more comfortable with the idea of creating arrangements. Practice and error with hundreds of projects enabled me to fine tune (oh, bad pun!) my skills.I have also pulled ideas from my talented colleagues who have been there from day one on my endeavors. Their critique has been invaluable.
